The Power of Ongoing Community Partnerships
At Lifelong, we know that lasting change doesn’t happen in isolation—it takes dedicated partners who invest in our mission year after year. Like many nonprofits in Seattle, we rely on the support of our community, and when organizations step up to provide sustained engagement, the impact is undeniable. One such partner is Coordinated Care, a Washington-based managed care organization committed to breaking down healthcare barriers and improving health equity.
Coordinated Care has been more than just a supporter—they've been an active force for change in our community. Over the years, their team has volunteered regularly alongside staff and participated in fundraising events. Last year, they deepened their investment by awarding Lifelong a $260,000 grant to launch a pilot program providing wraparound services, medically tailored meals and nutrition support to individuals recently experiencing homelessness.
"Our partnership with Coordinated Care started several years ago with their invaluable support of our programs that serve people throughout Washington – including nutrition counseling and education, medically tailored meals, wraparound social services, and more," said Lifelong CEO Erica Sessle. "Coordinated Care has been there every step of the way – volunteering alongside our team and ensuring we have the tools and resources we need to help those who need it most."
"Meeting the unique needs of our population is a key priority for Washington and Coordinated Care, which is why we are proud of our innovative programs, proactive solutions and community partnerships that are aimed at improving health outcomes for everyone," said Coordinated Care President and CEO Beth Johnson. "By combining our team’s expertise with the deep knowledge of our diverse partners across the state, we are driving lasting change for our members and communities."
