Lifelong’s New Location: Georgetown Yards — Lifelong

Lifelong’s New Location: Georgetown Yards

In spring 2025, Lifelong moved its administrative offices and Food and Nutrition operations to Georgetown Yards. The Georgetown Yards facility will more than double the size of Lifelong’s current space allowing for an expanded kitchen, increased meal production capacity, and enhanced storage facilities for grocery distribution. This will enable Lifelong to serve more clients and introduce expanded services in the future. This move aligns with Lifelong’s mission to provide greater support for neighbors in need.

FAQs

What precipitated the move?

In 2023, the owner of the Lucile building, Lifelong’s previous location, decided to sell the property. Lifelong’s leadership acted quickly and began a search for a new location. A facility in Georgetown Yards, close to the previous location, with the capacity to house our administrative offices and for an eventual kitchen and warehouse expansion, was secured.

Where is the new Lifelong location?

Georgetown Yards in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. The physical and mailing address is:

4634 E Marginal Way S
Suite C200
Seattle, WA 98134

The building can be accessed by driving north on E Marginal Way, turning right onto Diagonal Ave S, and right again onto Ohio Ave S, where the building can be accessed. Parking is available in the Georgetown Yards parking lot. There is a nearby paid parking lot at the corner of S Oregon St. And Colorado Ave. S.

Will the Capitol Hill, Everett, or Bellingham office be moved?

No, Lifelong will continue to have a presence on Capitol Hill, a neighborhood that is important to our history and community, Everett, and Bellingham.

Do you still need volunteers?

Yes! Volunteers are vital to our operation and our increased production will mean we need them more than ever. If you are interested in offering your time and talent to Lifelong’s Chicken Soup Brigade, please click here

How was the move and expansion funded?

The initial move and build out was supported from private and government funders sources including a $1.1 million grant from Washington state and $790,000 from the King County Council to fund the kitchen move and upgrades.

Why is community support needed?

To maintain our current production, prepare to meet an increased demand, and maximize the opportunity of the new space at Georgetown Yards, Lifelong must invest in up-to-date commercial kitchen equipment and warehouse infrastructure. Equipment that is in good working order was transferred to Georgetown Yards to keep operations moving. Philanthropic support will pay for the infrastructure necessary to increase our capacity.
