Food & Nutrition Program

Food Is Medicine

Lifelong’s Food & Nutrition program, Chicken Soup Brigade, delivers healthy, home-cooked meals and nutritious groceries right to your door.  Meals are made on-site, from scratch, using whole food ingredients.  We support people’s overall health by focusing on the importance of nutrition as part of someone’s care. Food and nutrition can reduce the symptoms and daily impact of many illnesses, minimize medication side effects, and provide comfort when it is needed most.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

We prepare and deliver medically tailored meals and groceries to low-income and underserved people in King County, WA. Our goal is to increase food security among our most vulnerable neighbors and support the long-term health of individuals who are disproportionately impacted by nutrition-related diseases. Our home delivery model brings meals or groceries to the people we serve and reduces the transportation barriers many people face in accessing nutritious food resources.
